These changes happen due to varying levels of hormones during menopause. This article will discuss the causes, confirmation, and treatment of itchy scalp, hair loss, and ways to minimize itching and shedding. Losing clumps of hair can be particularly distressing. But there will always be an underlying reason, whether it’s a health condition, stress levels, or family genetics. It can be hard to determine stress as the cause, as the hair loss often doesn’t occur immediately, instead falling out 3 to 6 months later. That said, if you find yourself losing clumps of hair several months after a big event like the ones mentioned above, it’s a good bet stress is the culprit.

What is hair loss in women?

Losing your hair is not usually anything to be worried about, but it can be upsetting. It's also well worth avoiding harsh chemical treatments during this time, so steer clear of relaxers and hair dye. Your doctor will also look at other areas on your body like your eyebrows, lashes, underarms, pubic area, legs and arms to assess if there’s hair loss.

Hormones, as well as genetics, can play a part, leading to smaller follicles that eventually stop making hair. There are groups around the country where you can meet and socialise with other people with alopecia. For many people, their hair is an important part of who they are.

It stops the action of male hormones called androgens. Traction alopecia is a type of hair loss that's brought on by the way you style your hair. Hairstyles like cornrows, braids, or tight ponytails can cause it. Some signs of traction alopecia include hair loss in patches where the hair was pulled and shorter strands of hair near the forehead. Things that interfere with the growth cycle -- like medications, illnesses, infections, or chemicals -- have the potential to stop hair from being formed the right way. Beyond that, age, hormones, stress, and even the way you style your hair can lead to hair loss.

Alopecia means “hair loss.” There are many different types of alopecia, in addition to androgenetic alopecia. See a dermatologist as soon as possible when you notice hair loss. The sooner you get treatment, the more effective it’ll be. Your shorter hairs — like eyelashes, arm and leg hair, and eyebrows —have a short anagen phase (about one month).

Unless you have extremely oily hair, consider washing your hair only every other day or less. Hair transplant surgery involves moving small plugs of skin, each with a few hairs, to bald parts of your scalp. Over-the-counter (OTC) medications generally consist of topical creams, gels, solutions, or foams that you apply directly to the scalp.

Women and hair loss: coping tips

By the age of 35, two-thirds of American men will experience some degree of hair loss. Among menopausal women, about two-thirds experience hair thinning or bald spots. This is the name for hair loss caused by medications that harm your hair follicles. Radiation and chemotherapy treatments for cancer can be toxic to follicles, causing your hair to fall out within the first few weeks after you start treatment.

Follow Mayo Clinic

Minoxidil usually needs to be used long-term to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth. When the treatment is stopped, hair loss will begin again within 12–24 weeks. Another cause of hair loss is called telogen effluvium (TE), which is typically temporary. According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), TE isn’t actually defined as “hair loss,” but rather as excessive hair shedding. Hair shedding due to an illness such as COVID-19 typically improves three to six months after recovery. For many women, hair shedding is a normal and common occurrence with the NHS highlighting that we can lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day, often without noticing.

Symptoms Of Hair Loss In Women

Trying to tell if you’re actually losing hair or just experiencing some normal shedding? Read on for more information about hair loss and how to manage it. Pregnancy, and especially giving birth, can lead to hair loss. You're most likely to see hair loss about 3 months after giving birth.

This usually happens because of radiation treatment or chemotherapy. It’s also the most common cause of hair loss, affecting up to 50% of people. While it’s more prevalent in older adults, anyone can experience it, including children. A person should contact a doctor for a blood test to check whether they have a nutritional deficiency that could be causing their hair to fall out. If a person thinks that hair loss may be due to a medication, they can consult a doctor for an assessment.

If in doubt, it's best to speak to your GP for advice regarding an iron deficiency, as they may recommend a blood test to confirm the correct treatment. On a typical head of hair each follicle is at a different stage at different times so you probably won’t notice it happening. CCCA and LPP fall under the umbrella of lymphocytic scarring alopecia. The telltale signs of  these conditions are chronic inflammation of the scalp and the scarring of hair follicles, which can result in irreversible hair loss, Agbai notes. Traction alopecia is a type of mechanical hair loss that happens when the hair follicles undergo repeated pulling or tension. Tight hairstyles like buns, braids, weaves, cornrows, and ponytails are the most common cause of traction alopecia.

If you like the idea of adding supplements to your routine, there are some which are specifically formulated to contain ingredients that increase hair thickness and health. Hair loss doesn't happen fast, our strands grow in cycles, which means it can take up to 3 months for hair to fall out after a trigger has caused it. Hair loss can range in severity from mild thinning of the hair to having a receding hairline or going completely bald. The average person loses up to 100 hairs per day, so it’s natural to lose hair, but many people will experience more hair loss than this. Hair loss can begin for some people as early as their 20s or 30s, but for most people, hair loss becomes more common later in their lives as part of the natural aging process. By the age of 50, about 85% of men will have thinning hair.

While ginger can look flat on straight hair since this shade lacks depth, adding a bit of metallic red to an all-over formula will land a much richer color. Copper can come in the gentlest hues and blend well with rosy tones to create dreamy hair like these peachy locks. Choosing a softer shade of copper is another smart decision for newcomers to the world of red hair. However, soft doesn’t mean lackluster, and a bit of metallic will elevate the look. Women have an urge for an extraordinary semblance of style especially when it comes to hairdos and dyes. This rich velvety copper tone won’t leave anyone indifferent.

Balayage or highlights are best done by a professional colorist to ensure seamless blending and a natural-looking result. If you love the look of beachy blondes but can’t find it in yourself to part ways with your brunette mane, simply switch up your hair with this warm brown hair color. Try it with the L’Oréal Paris Féria in Light Golden Brown. Blonde highlights look exquisite with a dark copper hair base.

Preparing for the Color Transition

Add some sparkle to your copper hair color with a bedazzled hair clip. Spray your hair with a flexible hairspray to keep flyaways at bay. As hair salons continue to make a triumphant return, we’ve officially ditched our quarantine roots and messy buns in exchange for beach waves and trendy hair color. And much to our delight, celebrities and influencers have been serving up tons of inspo as they jump on fresh hair trends. Whether you have long, wavy, straight, thick, or thin hair, this haircut will suit you.

3 Uneven Color

Natural redheads often have a variety of red and copper tones that give their hair a beautiful, reflective dimension. You can create this look by applying a dark auburn color at the roots that gradually blends into a lighter shade towards the middle and ends of your hair. The colorist may need to lighten your hair before applying these colors. After this, they will usually apply a toner to enhance the final color.

Copper Red

The vibrancy of your hair may diminish over time, especially at the roots, due to new growth. The need for touch-ups can vary, but they are typically necessary every 4-6 weeks. This multifaceted color is achieved through a skilled mix of coloring techniques, like balayage, enhancing the hair’s natural movement and texture. If you are looking to make an impact, this shade merges the inviting warmth of copper with the zestful intensity of orange for a powerful look.

The ultimate look for a busy woman on the go is an angled bob. If you need a hairstyle that will easily transition from work to play and will always fit in any occasion, this picture is a good example. Add a bit of flair with a blonde streak that will pop against copper hair. This look is a warm red-to-copper color melt with a pop of yellow, which I love the most. Think if this would suit your style and lifestyle, as this type of color will need maintenance. Get a balayage peeking through your natural redhead with a pumpkin-inspired color melt.

Natural Copper

Be aware that warm red and copper tones fade quickly, so you must refresh it often to keep it looking fresh. Before you choose your usual color, consider trying something new for fall. The colors of the season, orange and red copper, look fantastic against cooler skin tones. I recommend using color-safe professional products to prevent color fade for hazel eyes.

LEGO Gingerbread House Set 10267 LEGO Marketplace

This function works nicely and the decorative grating between the indoor and outdoor spaces looks magnificent, despite the potential draft which might come indoors. Nevertheless, this interesting design distinguishes Gingerbread House from previous Winter Village buildings. Start with the Good Housekeeping Test Kitchen's recipe for gingerbread house cookie dough and royal icing, and from there you can go as traditional or as unique as you want.

It’s not the largest set, but because there’s so much going on with the design, it feels substantially larger than it really is. The Gingerbread House build begins with a staple of any Winter Village set – a brick-built Christmas tree and presents. I quite like this year’s tree design which is a lot narrower and taller, with a standout 4-pointed star. In my head, yes, it does fall within the theme as I view this set as an actual Gingerbread House in a Winter Village home, lovingly baked and set up before being devoured by a hungry family at Christmas. The last time LEGO veered from your typical Winter Village build was with 2014’s Santa’s Workshop, so this kind of feels like we get a fantasy build every 5 years.

Box and Contents

Since this set is part of the Expert Creator series, you can expect to spend several hours putting it together.

Friends of Residential Treasures: LA created a map leading to some of Southern California's most adorable abodes.

Its dark tan and reddish brown colour scheme is effective though and the Gingerbread Woman may be seated here, even while wearing her skirt. In addition, I like the logs which are stored beside the fireplace and the pink decorations beneath each window are lovely. The packaging seems quite familiar, featuring an atmospheric seasonal background that corresponds with previous Winter Village sets. This design is attractive, although something more fantastical might have been suitable for the Gingerbread House. Turning the box around reveals its marvellous interior detail and the orange light brick, illuminating the fireplace, is advertised here on both sides. Take a basic gingerbread house to the next level with an edible sugar glass star and intricately piped icing decorations.

All orders are sent within New Zealand via a Standard NZ Post service and take 1-4 days for delivery. These are the instructions for building the LEGO Creator Expert Gingerbread House that was released in 2019. As the Gingerbread Baby is still an infant, he/she (it?) is still co-sleeping and has a cute little crib set up right next to its parents’ bed. There are two levels, a bedroom and bathroom on the upper level, and a living area downstairs with everything you need to raise a Gingerbread family.

Simple as it may sound, royal icing has the strength of glue when it dries; this is no ordinary frosting. Use plenty of icing to construct the house; it will act as your cement and help hold everything together. Then continue to use it to pipe decorations or glue on candies or other embellishments. Royal icing dries quickly, so keep the surface covered with a layer of plastic wrap or store the icing in sealed piping bags.

Review: LEGO 10267 Gingerbread House

Enjoy a festive build and play experience with the LEGO® Creator Expert Ginger bread House. Inside the house there’s an array of fun details and candy furnishings including a tasteful bedroom with chocolate bed and cotton candy lamp, and a bathroom with the essential toilet and bathtub. This wonderful LEGO Gingerbread House sets the scene for imaginative adventures with the gingerbread family. Children can light up the cozy fireplace, help clear the sidewalk with the snow blower and nestle the gingerbread baby in its carriage.

It certainly captures the essential features of traditional gingerbread houses, including icing and colourful buttons which decorate the roofs while the walls incorporate striped candy cane designs. This includes all of the bricks required to build the gingerbread house, the gingerbread family, and additional decorative pieces. Many different buildings have been produced for the Winter Village range and the gingerbread house seems quite unusual, incorporating fantasy design features. Nevertheless, this model looks excellent, measuring 26cm wide and including some wonderful colours.

Ultimately the children trick the witch, trap her in the oven she’d warmed for them, make off with her fortune, and return to their loving father. The mother, who died a mysterious death in the children’s absence, is now out of the picture for good. If Same Day Delivery is available for your order, you’ll see it displayed as an option to select at the Checkout.

The stockings hanging on the fireplace, and the family portrait suspended above it is a really nice homely touch. Firstly, the fireplace does heaps in helping create a really cosy environment, and I also like the chocolate bar lounge chair. Like most Winter Village structures, the back is completely exposed, much like a dollhouse. The architectural details of the Gingerbread House are astounding, and it seems like I discover little design flourishes, such as the railings beneath the windows. Also, I love the sprinkles on the roof which gives it a fun pop of colour.

lego.gingerbread house

One thing I was surprised to see was the box without a "Not an edible Gingerbread House" warning, cause that set looks delicious too. Striped candy canes are situated beside the house, identifying this location as Candy Lane. They are connected to the base using click hinges so can be angled according to your wishes. I think they look most appealing when displayed as shown here, although the instruction manual suggests tilting them both further so contradicts the packaging. We are a team of LEGO enthusiasts who have a collective build time in excess of over 10,000+ hours, making us masters of our craft!

LEGO fans have mixed feelings about the fantasy themes, but this one left a positive impression on many. If you're already dreading the post-creation sugar high, then use an assortment of nuts and salty snacks in place of candy. The only thing explosive about these cake bombs is the delicious taste of gingerbread cake beneath the icing shell. With a peppermint window and a marshmallow roof, this house is (almost) too cute to eat. Decorated with almonds, macadamias and walnuts, this gingerbread residence is packed with protein.

By letting their designers’ imaginations run wild, LEGO have yet another hit on their hands with the Gingerbread House, easily making it one of the standout sets of 2019. The design evokes such strong festive vibes with its amazing design. The design is just outstanding, and LEGO have really captured the whimsy of an actual Gingerbread House so well.

As hotels and malls have worked to outshine their rivals in gingerbread house construction, some houses have gotten larger and larger to the point where the average adult can comfortably stroll inside. Contained within you’ll find no evil witches, just delicious, seasonal cheer. And you don’t have wander through the woods of Germany to find life-size gingerbread creations. In fact there are a few you can check out right here in Southern California. But you'd need a truckload of candy to deck these adorable abodes, for several of LA's gingerbread houses stand at two stories or more.

LEGO Gingerbread House Review and Guide

lego.gingerbread house

These adults are accompanied by an adorable Gingerbread Baby which is represented by a printed 1x2 tile. That decision has elicited some disappointment but I think it works perfectly. Presumably the baby was recently removed from the oven so remains on a baking tray! The printing appears suitably endearing and the baby's sleeping facial expression is delightful as well.

Once your order is dispatched, you can use your tracking number(s) to view updates on your order's progress. The icing on the cake (heh) is really the dollhouse design and inclusion of plenty of living areas which allows you to setup so many different scenes for the Gingerbread family. The build was also really fun and I was engaged throughout, despite some repetitive sections building the slopes roof, but I really loved seeing it all come together. Speaking on the aesthetics of the LEGO Gingerbread House, I don’t think its hyperbolic to state that this is one of the best designed sets in the entire Winter Village theme. It’s kind of a shame that LEGO didn’t modify the baby mould and turn it into some infant gingerbread monstrosity, but the printed gingerbread baby tile is still adorable as anything.

What’s Included

They’re based off the same Gingerbread Man mould from LEGO Minifigures Series 13, with a few small cosmetic changes such as the aforementioned facial features, but also red candy buttons on their bodies. In 2019, LEGO flips the formula on the head once again with a whimsical fantasy build, with the delightfully charming Gingerbread House. Waiting for a Christmas promo GWP but definitely excited to get this set. I'll be picking this up when there is a GWP (probably during Black Friday).

The combination of reddish brown and white certainly gives the impression of iced gingerbread and its steep roofs are marvellous, recalling Winter Village Post Office. Only 2 figures, it doesn't fit the regular winter village theme and the indoor/outdoor fireplace seems counter productive as a source of heat. But then again, those roofs are delightful, I hadn't seen them directly until now. The furnishings are also exquisite and really push me towards the set.I think I'll end up, somewhat begrudgingly, picking this up. I'll just have to make a separate display from the rest of the village, and perhaps move Santa's Workshop along with it too.In other news, does anyone know if Christmas Tree will be a GWP or a regular set?

Number of Pieces

The bed looks like a bar of white chocolate, and there’s a cotton candy (fairy floss for you Aussies) lampshade as well. On the house’s right side is an alternate entrance, complete with candy cane pillars. There’s also an outdoor picnic table, which has bits of ice/icing (man, I love the double entendre in this case) hanging off the edges. Similar detail adorns the Gingerbread Woman, whose beautiful pink icing contrasts with the reddish brown chocolate icing which has appeared on past gingerbread minifigures. The eyelashes and rosy cheeks are superb and I like the dress component.

Let’s sink our teeth into this set and see if it’s worth the hype. LEGO must’ve done something right as the set has been sold out for weeks now, which speaks to how well its been received by LEGO fans. "Presumably the baby was recently removed from the oven so remains on a baking tray!" is certainly a sentence I never expected to read on a Lego fan site. I usually find winter stuff far too kitschy, but I could see myself getting this piece. This set was provided for review by The LEGO Group but the review is an expression of my own opinions. Let us know by liking this article and share your opinion of the set in the comments below.

This set is ideal for older children or adults who enjoy collecting sets or are up for a building challenge. Due to its “limited” status, there’s high demand for this set among collectors and doting parents. If you really want to go all out this Christmas, get to work on this epic gingerbread village — it makes for an impressive, sugary holiday centerpiece. With red sour belt shingles and Tootsie Roll siding, this edible rustic log cabin sets the scene for the ultimate sugar-filled winter wonderland. These stores currently offer Same Day Delivery for select postcodes within a 10km radius of their store. Click store below to see what sets are currently available for Same Day customers.

Gingerbread House Ideas That'll Inspire You to Create an Epic Masterpiece

Love the larger Gingerbread House, but want something more accessible? This is the smaller gingerbread house set I mentioned earlier, released a few years before the larger gingerbread house (2015). Due to the complexity of the building process and the set’s tiny pieces, it’s not ideal for small children. And if anyone starts nibbling a little too much on your pretzel porch or fondant beer cooler, you can always add that dinosaur.

Some stores are already sold out, while others are selling out quickly. To make sure you get one, I’d recommend making the purchase ASAP. Everything follows the wintery, Christmassy theme, such as the candy decorations and the Christmas tree with presents. The LEGO Gingerbread House set made its appearance in late 2019, with VIP LEGO members getting access on September 18.

I like how the bathroom has been divided from the bedroom as well, despite the low roof height. The reddish brown walls include comparable detail, most notably below each upstairs window where white plates and tiles are attached sideways to form beams. This construction technique is extremely effective and the roof peaks are impressive too, including some Technic connectors which provide an absolutely rigid connection between separate panels. Ten years have elapsed since the Winter Village range was introduced and this appealing series maintains consistent popularity.

Part of the Creator series, the LEGO Gingerbread House was created to commemorate a decade of LEGO’s Winter Village line. This sugar cookie house is the product of "all things merry and bright." We bet this pretty and pink house would get Elle Woods' stamp of approval. No magic needed to make this house fit for a fairy — just some graham crackers and a fruit rollup.

Since I think this if the first village set with a toilet, there will be a long line of people waiting to get in the door! Also funny that the first restroom comes in the set with "non" people. Either way, mine arrives tomorrow and I look forward to adding it to the collection. Sweets represent more furniture inside the bedroom, most notably including the bed that resembles a pink wafer! The matching bedside table looks delightful and features a pink lampshade while the cot is cleverly designed using a 1x2x2 window frame.

Cut out larger pieces of gingerbread to create a country-style gingerbread barn. This bright, pastel-roofed gingerbread house boasts plenty of color (while it lasts ... your kids are going to eat all of those petite candies!). In 1812 Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm published one of their most famous stories. Hansel and Gretel are left to stave in the woods by their cruel mother as their woodcutter father is unable to provide for the family. The children search for home and come upon a house built cakes, candy and gingerbread. The proprietor turns out to be an evil witch who lures them inside with the intention of eating them.

Unfortunately, these figures lack printing on their arms and legs but they remain appealing in my opinion. Winter Village sets are generally appropriate for communal building and two instruction manuals are accordingly provided. However, the division of construction between these seems uneven as the first manual features accessories while the second focuses upon the beautiful Gingerbread House. When you purchase it, you’ll get to enjoy tinkering with the four included figurines and the reindeer with a sled. Throw in the Christmas tree, piano, ship, plane, and naughty-nice list, and you have a complete holiday workshop going on.

Plus, it’s been demonstrated time and time again that in addition to making information more engaging, visuals can actually help with the comprehension of information. In fact, the CDC recommends the use of visuals to boost understanding of health information for external communications in healthcare. It simply means to create focus at a particular object or element in order to signify its importance in the visual composition. Pallone & Schakowsky Applaud NHTSA Final Rule on Automatic Emergency Braking

house committee energy and commerce

The House Committee on Energy and Commerce has developed what is arguably the broadest (non-tax-oriented) jurisdiction of any congressional committee. Today, the committee has responsibility for matters including telecommunications, consumer protection, food and drug safety, public health and research, environmental quality, energy policy, and interstate and foreign commerce among others. Change Healthcare, which was acquired by UnitedHealth Group’s Optum subsidiary in 2022, is one of the nation’s largest providers of health care payment management systems. On February 21, UnitedHealth Group reported it had experienced a cyberattack on its platforms, and it had taken all Change Healthcare systems offline to contain the incident.

Otherwise, some drinking water provisions could eventually be attached to the next reauthorization of the Water Resources Development Act, which Congress is expected to consider next year. Georgia is also home to the well-known Vogtle nuclear power plant, the first newly constructed nuclear reactor to be built in the United States in over three decades. Once all of Vogtle’s four units are online, it will be the largest nuclear reactor in the country. And despite facing headwinds, the project marked the beginning of the return of American nuclear energy leadership a crucial aspect of our ability to meet climate and clean energy goals while providing reliable, affordable energy to Americans. 6544, the Atomic Energy Advancement Act, to encourage and support advancements in nuclear energy by modernizing and improving the current processes at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The bill, which passed the House with bipartisan support, will help usher in a new era of U.S. energy leadership.

Chairs Rodgers and Duncan Question IEA on Shift Away from Energy Security Mission Towards a Liberal Climate Agenda

We need to focus on bolstering the capacity and resiliency of our energy grid to accommodate a diverse array of energy sources, including renewables, natural gas, and nuclear power. Sponsored by Chairman Frank Pallone (D-N.J.), the LIFT America Act (H.R. 2741) could eventually serve as a piece of a larger infrastructure bill that Congress could consider this year. The measure touches on multiple areas of the committee’s jurisdiction, from broadband to energy production to healthcare to drinking water infrastructure. Not only would these misguided regulations limit consumer choice; they would also increase our reliance on China.

E&C Leaders Seek Further Information in Investigation of Maui Wildfires

The United States does not yet have the domestic critical mineral supply chain necessary to support the proposed transition. As China currently controls 90% of the EV supply chain in aggregate, any push to make EVs the dominant type of vehicle on the market would essentially hand China the keys to America’s auto future. [...] The United States would also be relying on minerals from China, which has an atrocious track record when it comes to environmental and labor standards. As much as we would like to decrease our nation’s emissions, greenhouse gases, and criteria pollutants are a global issue and do not stop at international borders.

Letter - Environment

In fact, the scheme to flood the industry with electric vehicles is playing right into the Chinese Communist Party’s hands and plans to establish a greater world dominance. China controls many key aspects of the supply chain, and American providers struggle to keep up with the lower prices from our adversary and rival from the other side of the world. Despite the many benefits of hydropower, the Biden administration has colluded with extreme activists to tear down dams in the Pacific Northwest. Dams in the Columbia Snake River system provide more than one third of all the hydropower capacity in the United States. Breaching the dams would NOT be good for the environment—removal of the dams will reduce hydropower production and make America more reliant on the world’s biggest polluter, China. However, the Data Abyss tracker for the OSTP Russia guidance on federal funding agencies indicates that, as of April 5, 2024, the NIH has potentially 240 instances of problematic research collaborations since June 2022 that do not comply with the guidance.

North Dakotans are a major contributor to increased U.S. energy production and we help the United States lead in emissions reduction across the world. Despite the narrative coming from the environmentalist left, the United States has proven that the best way to reduce emissions is to empower innovation and technological advancements, not double down on onerous regulations that do nothing to keep the air and water clean. Nuclear energy is key for reducing emissions and providing reliable, affordable, clean energy to Americans.

House of Representatives and is vested with the broadest jurisdiction of any congressional authorizing committee. This legislation, which was passed out of Committee and advanced to the House Floor, would reform the licensing process to protect existing hydropower resources and remove barriers to rapidly expand hydropower development. Energy and Commerce Republicans are leading on all-of-the-above energy solutions to reverse the negative consequences of President Biden’s radical rush-to-green energy agenda, which undermines our economy and slows progress to reduce emissions.

The committee was originally formed as the Committee on Commerce and Manufactures on December 14, 1795. Prior to this, legislation was drafted in the Committee of the Whole or in special ad hoc committees, appointed for specific limited purposes. However the growing demands of the new nation required that Congress establish a permanent committee to manage its constitutional authority under the Commerce Clause to "regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States." The Biden administration’s January decision to ban new permits for LNG export facilities will raise costs in the U.S. and prevent us from supplying our allies and those in the developing world. The Energy and Commerce Committee has scheduled a hearing on the bill for this Wednesday, indicating that the bill is likely to move through the committee in the coming months. While Republican support for the measure is not assured, components of the overall bill could be candidates for inclusion in a larger infrastructure package, provided that congressional leaders and President Trump can agree on a plan to pay for it.

In 2023 alone, the United States cut emissions by 3%, outpacing many other nations including China. Our efforts in oil and gas production have also set global standards for cleanliness, demonstrating our commitment to responsible environmental stewardship while ensuring energy security. Additionally, the lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions of U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) are approximately 40% lower than the gas supplied by Russia, the second largest exporter of LNG. Oil and gas producers in the U.S. work daily to make energy clean, reliable, and affordable for Americans and people in the unempowered world.

As a result of the outage, critical services affecting patient care—including billing services, claims transmittals, and eligibility verifications—became inoperable. Though UnitedHealth first notified users that it expected the disruption to “last at least through the day,” several of the company’s products have now been inoperable for more than a month. “Change Healthcare is a central player in the country’s health care system, which has been upended by the recent breach,” t he bipartisan Committee leaders wrote to Mr. Witty. “We are interested in your efforts to secure Change Healthcare’s systems since it was acquired by your company and the efforts you are taking to restore system functionality and support patients and providers affected by the attack.” Change Healthcare’s platforms touch an estimated one in three U.S. patient records. Its systems process roughly 15 billion transactions annually, and are linked to approximately 900,000 physicians, 118,000 dentists, 33,000 pharmacies, and 5,500 hospitals nationwide. The breadth of Change Healthcare’s infrastructure all but ensures that the scope of the current disruption, and any disruption in Change Healthcare services, will be extensive.

The United States is facing an auto safety crisis, one that we have the power to stop in its tracks. Technology like automatic emergency braking systems will go a long way towards improving safety on our roads. As we have seen especially in recent months an over-reliance on electric vehicles is not what this country needs or even wants.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee last week gave mostly party-line approval to a pair of bills that have drawn opposition from AMWA and other water sector and municipal organizations because of changes they would make to the Safe Drinking Water Act’s (SDWA) contaminant regulatory process, among other concerns. One of the measures will be up for a vote before the full House this week as part of the INVEST in America Act, a larger package of infrastructure legislation developed by House Democratic leaders. The drinking water component of the bill would extend the DWSRF’s authorization for an additional three years, through 2024, and authorize spending more than $14 billion on the program over that time. The bill would extend a number of other drinking water programs, such as school and child care center lead testing grants, drinking fountain replacement grants, community water system risk and resilience assessment grants, and Public Water System Supervision grants. The proposal also includes the text of another bill Rep. Pallone recently offered to create a five-year, $2.5 billion grant program to help community water systems install new treatment technologies to remove PFAS.

It can help you quickly initialize a page in your project and help you develop code more quickly. The current block is a page-level block, you can understand that it is a template for typical pages that are often used in some projects. Using a block is actually equivalent to copying some page code from an existing project to you. We have built-in models, standard components, mock data, hot module reloading, state management, i18n, global router, etc. You can continue exploring other documents for more details on those topics. If you don't like the default configuration of umi, you can check here to see if there is any configuration you like.

The block now supports all demos in antd, and demos can be imported into the project more quickly. The following figure demonstrates the rapid development of a crud page. If you choose umi@3, you can also choose the pro template.

TypeScript

We welcome the community to implement our design system in other front-end frameworks of their choice. We recommend using npm or yarn or pnpm or bun to install, it not only makes development easier, but also allow you to take advantage of the rich ecosystem of Javascript packages and tooling. Sometimes our menu may display at top, left or left and top either, This can be achieved by changing layout at defaultSettings.js. If you need a custom menu, the siderWidth property controls the width of the menu on the right, and menuRender and menuItemRender let you customize the entire menu.

jsconfig.json

Ant Design Pro is a production-ready solution for admin interfaces. It is not recommended to nest routing components inside routing components - it is not easy to tell if a component is a routing component and it is not easy to quickly locate a routing component from the global level. The src folder contains all the runtime code, which will be compiled by webpack. Other directories can be considered to be able to use node capabilities when compiling. Simple data flow is a simple data management solution based on the hooks paradigm (some scenarios can replace dva), which is usually used for global shared data of middle and Taiwan projects. Ant Design is an enterprise-level UI design language and React component library.

CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md

If you still can’t meet the requirements, you need to customize webpack. ChainWebpack can customize the built-in webpack configuration. Compared with webpack, umi has increased runtime capabilities and helped us configure many webpack presets. It also reduces the problems caused by webpack upgrades.

tsconfig-check.json

With those objectives in mind, we have built the following templates and a scaffold based on React.js, which should help you prototyping production-ready admin interfaces. ProComponents is more standardized than Ant Design. As a template component, a single component can be used to build a page. At the expense of some degrees of freedom, the efficiency of CRUD can be improved a hundredfold.

cd myapp && npm install

We strongly discourage loading the entire files this will add bloat to your application and make it more difficult to receive bugfixes and updates. Antd is intended to be used in conjunction with a build tool, such as webpack, which will make it easy to import only the parts of antd that you are using. We provide antd.js and antd.min.js reset.css under dist folder in antd's npm package. You can also download these files directly from , or unpkg. Following the Ant Design specification, we developed a React UI library antd that contains a set of high quality components and demos for building rich, interactive user interfaces. We provide create umi to quickly initialize scaffolding.

Of course, Webpack is very powerful, and it can help us accomplish far more than these. If we use umi, it can greatly simplify the configuration of webpack, but it is still recommended to learn the basics to facilitate debugging and customize some configurations. In Pro, assets are divided into two types, blocks and templates. A block can be compared to a component, and a template represents a page.

It is recommended to use the right drawer of Pro site to help you complete the overall style, theme color, navigation mode, and content area related to the layout. Width, fixed Header, fixed side menu, color weak mode and other configuration options. Then paste the copied configuration into the layout configuration. The project is based on ES2015+, React, UmiJS, dva, g2 and antd. It would be helpful if you have pre-existing knowledge on those. With the development of more and more biased front-end separation, we will inevitably encounter the problem of cross-domain during development.

When a user accesses an unauthorized route, the layout will provide a default unauthorized page. We have built-in mock data, hot module reloading, state management,i18n, global router, etc. We recommend splitting routing components into finer-grained components where possible. The base of Pro is umi, which is an integrated tool on top of webpack. Webpack is a packaging tool for the node environment, and Node.js is a JavaScript runtime based on the Chrome V8 engine.

As the best component library in Xihu District, it greatly improves the efficiency of middle and back-end development and is widely loved by developers at home and abroad. TypeScript not only includes the syntax of JavaScript, but also provides static type checking and a more complete code hint function. Any existing JavaScript program is a legal TypeScript program, and you can get a better development experience with simple learning. Node.js is a JavaScript runtime based on the Chrome V8 engine. The emergence of Node.js has greatly promoted the engineering of javascript.

MenuDataRender can be used to customize menu data, which you can replace with data obtained from the server. Username and internationalization can have a default UI through configuration. Internationalization will display the available languages by detecting the files in the locale directory. After opening, the menu name configured in the route will be used as the key for the internationalization of the menu name, and the plug-in will search for the text corresponding to menu.[key] in the locales file. Enable internationalization through the locale configuration of the layout configuration.

An out-of-box UI solution for enterprise applications as a React boilerplate. Absolute paths can be used directly (map support is required). If you want to use local files directly, you can import them as follows. Just update menuData in models/menu, which is a json array.

Ant Design Charts is an out-of-the-box, easy-to-configure, general-purpose statistical chart library with good visual and interactive experience. It is based on g2's high-interaction visualization graphics grammar and presets the configuration. One component can realize a variety of complex charts. We offer a range of lint scripts, including TypeScript, less, css, md files. You can use this script to see what problems your code has. Running this script will compile your project, and you can find the compiled files in the dist directory of the project for deployment.

The staff of the vacant office can assist constituents with general information concerning the status of legislation, but cannot provide analysis of issues or render opinions. In 1819, the committee was renamed the Committee on Commerce in recognition that the committee’s jurisdiction had expanded beyond its original scope. The name changed again in 1891, becoming the Committee on Interstate and Foreign Commerce. The committee assumed its present name in 1981 to emphasize its lead role in the nation’s energy policy. Opponents of LNG exports often cite environmental concerns, but the reality is that American natural gas is among the cleanest and most efficient energy sources available. Technological advancements have enabled significant reductions in emissions intensity, with producers leading the way in implementing innovative solutions to minimize environmental impact.

These constituents will receive a letter from the Clerk requesting whether the staff should continue assistance or not. If they wish to continue with their case, they must submit a new Privacy Release Form. Constituents who do not have pending cases but require assistance in matters relating to federal government agencies are invited to contact the nearest district office for further information and assistance. Until a new Representative is elected, the vacant congressional office cannot take or advocate positions of public policy. Constituents may choose to express opinions on legislation or issues to your elected Senators or wait until a new Representative is elected and takes office.

Interim Vacant Office Status

To manage the wide variety of issues it encounters, the committee relies on the front-line work of six subcommittees, one more than during the 111th Congress. During the 111th Congress, Chairman Henry Waxman combined the traditionally separate energy and environment subcommittees into a single subcommittee.[4] New Chairman Fred Upton restored them as separate subcommittees at the start of the 112th Congress, and they have been retained to this day. By federal law and the Rules of the House of Representatives, the employees of the former Representative continue to staff the offices of the congressional district under the supervision of the Clerk of the House of Representatives. This interim vacant status continues until a new Representative is elected to fill the unexpired term.

In 2022, Nuclear power plants—which do not emit greenhouse gases—operated at full capacity more than 92% of the time. By taking advantage of America’s abundant and diverse energy resources—like natural gas, hydropower, and nuclear power—and leading the world in developing clean technologies to utilize them. The OSTP advised applicable departments and agencies to curtail interaction with the leadership of Russian government-affiliated universities and research institutions, as well as those who have publicly expressed support for the invasion of Ukraine. 7176, the Unlocking Our Domestic LNG Potential Act, to reverse President Biden’s ban on American LNG exports and secure American energy and environmental leadership. The development and revolution of American natural gas has helped reduce U.S. emissions in the energy sector by 25% from 2008 to 2018. The Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal called President Biden’s decision "a win for political symbolism, not the climate” and “Biden’s Worst Energy Decision.” We agree.

The committee was originally formed as the Committee on Commerce and Manufactures on December 14, 1795. Prior to this, legislation was drafted in the Committee of the Whole or in special ad hoc committees, appointed for specific limited purposes. However the growing demands of the new nation required that Congress establish a permanent committee to manage its constitutional authority under the Commerce Clause to "regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States." In the letter, the Chairs ask the NIH to confirm by May 14, 2024, whether the agency has complied with White House guidance to stop funding projects led by researchers and entities in Russia. “Each year, tens of thousands of lives are lost on our roadways—more than 44,000 just last year.

Unleashing energy production and exporting U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) to our allies is KEY to lowering costs, strengthening democracy and our geopolitical power, AND lowering emissions worldwide. President Biden’s ban on American LNG exports—a blatant political decision—jeopardizes all of this. The staff of the vacant office will continue to assist constituents who have cases pending with the office.

Although the scope of the vacant congressional office is limited, constituents of the district are invited to contact this interim office for information and assistance as indicated below. The Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) and a suite of other drinking water assistance programs would be reauthorized under a massive infrastructure bill introduced last week by all 31 Democratic members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The Committee on Energy and Commerce is the oldest standing legislative committee in the U.S.

“The health care system is rapidly consolidating at virtually every level, creating fewer redundancies and more vulnerability to the entire system if an entity with significant market share at any level of the system is compromised,” the Committee leaders wrote. The Committee leaders requested answers to a series of detailed questions by April 29, 2024. Instead of rushing into a ‘green’ energy transition, we should follow a pragmatic approach to an ‘energy expansion’ movement. Looking ahead, the House Energy and Commerce Committee has a crucial role to play in shaping America’s energy future. By fostering collaboration between industry stakeholders, policymakers, and environmental advocates, the committee can develop visionary solutions that balance the essentials of economic prosperity, environmental sustainability, and energy security.

On June 11, 2022, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) issued guidance stating such projects and programs that commenced and/or were funded prior to Russia’s further invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 may be concluded, but new projects in affected subject areas will not be initiated.

We must continue to incentivize emissions reductions through technologies like LNG, not pit one energy source against another. It’s strengthened our energy grid and lowered energy costs for families and businesses—all while reducing carbon emissions. Thomas J. Bliley, who chaired the committee from 1995 to 2000, chose to use this traditional name, which underscores the committee's role for Congress on this front. From this time forward, as the nation grew and Congress dealt with new public policy concerns and created new committees, the Energy and Commerce Committee has maintained its central position as Congress's monitor of commercial progress—a focus reflected in its changing jurisdiction, both in name and practice.
